HGP Begins to Review Prospective Transfer Students
Each year, HGP receives transfer applications for students entering the 10th and 11th grades. Families interested in considering HGP should contact the admissions office to learn more about the transfer process.

HGP Summer Courses 2016
This summer Holy Ghost is offering five engaging summer semester courses to our academic program. These courses are a combination of class work and unique field experiences related to the topics of study. Participation in the courses is completely optional and designed to engage your son in real-world experiences. Please see a brief description of the courses and contact the appropriate teacher with questions. If you have questions about the overall program, please contact the principal, Mr. Danilak. Any student interested in taking Statistical Reasoning in Sports this summer should see Ms. McKelvie for a registration form. This course offers students the opportunity to learn statistical reasoning concepts through the context of a variety of different sport applications. In addition to coursework, students will attend several trips to sports stadiums and studios. Please contact Ms. McKelvie at tmckelvie@holyghostprep.org with any questions. Any student interested in taking Finance this summer should see Mr. Murtaugh for a registration form. Students in this course will evaluate investment theories, analyze investment data, and perform long-range investment strategy while balancing risk. Visits to the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, investment firms, and the world finance capital of New York City are planned. This course offers students the opportunity to gain an analytical perspective on government and politics in the United States. Any student interested in taking Journalism this summer should see Mr. Goulet for a registration form. This course allows students to gain experience in reporting, interviewing, writing and editing. Students will be introduced to the journalistic styles of news, editorial, feature, column and review. Any student interested in taking Indie Film, Theater and Creative Writing this summer should see Mr. Jordan for a registration form. This course will engage students in the literary and lively arts. Students will have the opportunity to see the best examples of film, theater and creative writing in the cultural centers of Philadelphia and New York City. Mothers' Guild News Mother-Son Dance – March 5, 2016 On Saturday, March 5, join us with your special guy(s) at our annual Mother-Son Dance…Roaring 20s style! If you would like to help with decorating, set up or clean up, please click here to sign up. Help is especially needed on Saturday morning and for Clean up after the dance. Attention Senior Moms – Pictures Needed Each year the Senior Class is celebrated at the Mother-Son Dinner Dance with a baby photo contest, as well as a slide show. We need each senior mom to send in pictures of their son as a baby, and then fun photos throughout his years at HGP. Click here for information on how to submit your pictures. The deadline for baby photo submission has been extended to February 21. Call for Nominations Nominations for the 2016-17 Mothers’ Guild Executive Board will be accepted at the March Mothers’ Guild meeting. Fathers' Association News The Fathers' Association has received several Thank You notes from some of the families the HGP community assisted this past Christmas. We would like to share a few with you that really touched us. "Thank you so much for what we received.
