Admissions Events for 7th Graders - and HGP Summer Camps 2016

7th Grade Shadow Days at HGP

Call the Admissions Office to Schedule a Day - 215-639-0811

A shadow day at HGP begins at 7:45am and concludes at 2:30pm.  Visiting students must go around with a current HGP 9th grader.  Visiting students may also request a current HGP freshman to take them around during the day.

Parents are invited to tour HGP from 8:00am to 8:30am.

Seventh Grade Preview Night

Your next visit to HGP is Monday, April 4 at 3:30 for the World Language Placement test and Tuesday, April 5 for the Math Placement test, also at 3:30.  The Placement Test Make-Up Date is Thursday, April 7 at 3:330. If you have any questions or need account access information, please feel free to contact us in the Main Office at 215.639.2102.
Join us on Thursday,  May 5 for our annual Information Night to learn about all things related to HGP. This night is designed for the freshman students, parents and guardians to learn about the day-to-day experiences of HGP and what to expect as an incoming freshman. 
We look forward to seeing you at these events. 

HGP Retirements and Employment Opportunities

HGP will say goodbye to three long time teachers at the end of 2016.  Campus Minister Dan Ryan, Math teacher Marge Flynn and Computer Science teacher Mike Meistering will all retire at the end of the 2015-2016 school year.  Mike Meistering will continue to coach the Cross Country and Track & Field teams.

Along with welcoming new faculty members, HGP will also build the staff with some completely new positions in Communications, College Guidance and Technology.  Click Here to see the new positions.

SENIORS, please continue to bring in copies of letters of acceptance and scholarship awards  to Mrs. Kudla in the College Guidance Office.   As you receive financial aid award letters, from ALL of the colleges to which you were accepted,  please save and submit to the College Guidance Office.  This information is confidential and is very important to keep our Naviance statistics up-to-date.

Alum Robert Barber '75 Returns to HGP as Spring Semester Executive in Residence

Robert “Bob” Barber ’75 will return to his alma mater as Holy Ghost Prep’s second Executive in Residence on Thursday, April 7.  He will be speaking to selected HGP classes during the day, in addition to meeting with students and family.

Barber, a cum laude graduate of HGP, was a member of the National Honor Society and an editor on the Flame student newspaper, in addition to competing with the forensics and debate teams all four years.  He also played varsity soccer and most recently, served as a school trustee.

Currently, Barber is Executive Director – Senior Legal Counsel in AT&T’s Washington, D.C. office which caps a 21-year career to date with the company.  He also served more than 12 years as a commissioned officer in the United State Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Major before leaving active duty in 1991. 

Barber earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with Highest Distinction from Northwestern University, and received his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.

Forensics Students Perform at Rotary Club

Four senior class members of the HGP Forensics contingent which will be competing in upcoming national competition were recently invited to perform before the Trenton, NJ Chapter of Rotary International at Trenton Country Club.  They included (l-r): Collin Quigley, Nicholas Guiliano, Joseph Zampirri and Massimo Cifelli.  Also pictured is Charles Parkerson, past president of Trenton Rotary and the father of two Holy Ghost alumni.

Mothers Guild Meeting,  April 4, 2016 - 7pm - Guild Meeting and 50th Anniversary Celebration

All moms are invited to attend the next Mothers’ Guild meeting and social.  In addition to our regular meeting, we will be celebrating our Alumni Moms and the 50th Anniversary of the Guild!  We will have a book signing by an alumni Mom and some special raffles.   We will also be holding our elections for the 2016-2017 Mothers’ Guild Executive Board.   If you are a current mom AND ALSO an alumni mom click here to RSVP

The tradition continues where the Junior Mothers host a Farewell Reception for the Senior Mothers. 2016 Archdiocese High School Art Exhibit

The Annual Archdiocesan High School Art Exhibit will take place at LaSalle University from April 2nd through April 21st 2016. Holy Ghost Prep artists will compete in the categories of observational drawing, printmaking, painting and illustration. The ten HGP artists this year are Tim Mikalic, Andrew Dolce, Nicholas Guiliano, Carter Takita, Brandon Rudolph, Christopher Bracco, Dumitru Dobre, John Teesdale, Cooper Pandorf and Pioty Cymbalski.

A reception for the artists, teachers, friends and families is Saturday April 2, 2016 at 1 PM.
