40th Pennsylvania High School Hockey Championships

The ice hockey team will play in the AAA State Championship on Saturday, March 21st at 4:00pm at the Pegula Ice Arena on the campus of Pennsylvania State University.  Flyers Cup Champion Holy Ghost Prep will play the western PA Penguins Cup Champion Canon-McMillan High School from near Pittsburgh, PA.  

The Pennsylvania Cup began in 1975 in Erie, Pennsylvania with six schools from Eastern and Western Pennsylvania.  The Tournament format changed in 1981 to include a State Final Game between the Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Pennsylvania champions. Class AAA, Class AA and Class A Champions are crowned and receive the Pennsylvania Cup, which was re-dedicated in 2000 for the 25th anniversary of the Pennsylvania High School Hockey Championships.  

Fan Buses: Current students can sign up for fan buses starting Tuesday, March 17th in the athletics office or admissions office.  The cost is $10.  Fan buses will depart from the Neshaminy Mall Park'n Ride at 11:15am on Saturday morning.  The approximate return time is 9:30pm.

Tickets: All tickets are sold at the Pegula Arena at Penn State.  Tickets are $10 for the entire day.

Game Time:  The game starts at 4:00pm
