Senior Retreats and Indoor Track 2104
All athletes choosing to run cross country should not attend either of the first two retreats. Athletes also competing in track & field with scoring or state qualifying abilities should not attend the fourth retreat. Therefore, all athletes involved in Cross Country or Track & Field are recommended to attend the December Retreat.
The schedule of retreats has changed over the years. Usually two retreats have been an option for a varsity distance runner, but now only one is. Please note that on your retreat form so that you can attend the December retreat.
Cross Country is NOT the same as other sports. We can not "sub" or have other team members make up or overplay for a missing top scorer. The score of a cross country race is so negatively impacted by the loss (for whatever reason) of a top scoring athlete. Proper planning and staying healthy can lead to amazing performances!

Last Chance Meet and Lawrenceville CANCELLED
Unfortunately, mother nature has caused the cancellation of this evening's meet AND tomorrow's meet. The indoor season is most likely over except for potential relay candidates for the Distance Medley, 4x8, and 4x4. We will continue to investigate possibilities for a last chance opportunity for anyone interested given these cancellations. Council Rock North and South are also interested in some type of a meet due to losing the Lawrenceville meet. Stay tuned for further developments post snow storm....

Do you have your letter yet? Last chances this week!
Saturday at Lawrenceville athletes should be attempting in their best event to get a JV letter, move from a JV to a Varsity letter, or end their season with a personal best performance. Our goal has always been over the years for competitive athletes to end each of their seasons with a personal best, and most times, a lifetime best! And our history shows this happens when you allow it! You still have work to do if you have not achieved a new lifetime personal best! Learn how to compete well, how to prepare appropriately so that you aren't underachieving! Use your gifts and talents! Use your blessings! The time is NOW!

Are you still developing? Let's hope so!
Coach organized practice opportunities were reduced this week to help ensure appropriate academic focus. Note that while Penn State travel athletes will not practice on Friday at school, everyone else should! We are approaching the end of the season, but we aren't there yet! Continue your development! Get out and run, stretch, stride, lift as event appropriate! There IS practice on Friday for everyone not going to Penn State!

Happy Holidays! Train and be merry!
The holidays are a wonderful family time! We ALL enjoy the time off from formal classes and the daily routine. But even Christmas time is a time for learning! AND training! As most of track & field deals with aerobic and anaerobic conditioning, each day it is important to continue your development! Our tradition of success is directly linked to quality work - academically and athletically! The maturation of each of you from a boy to a man includes the acceptance of the responsibility of using your blessings! Note that athletes who do not continue to move forward over the Christmas Break will no longer remain team members.
