2013 HGP Pre-9th Review and Transition Program
Holy Ghost Prep offers an optional review and transition program for students entering ninth grade at HGP in the Fall. The program is designed to give students an advance look at the expectations of the classroom in the ninth grade and to refresh and polish their existing skills in the areas of reading, study skills, math review, writing and grammar. Please note that the math review course is not intended for students who will enter HGP with advanced standing (i.e., Algebra II Honors or above), but is particularly helpful for students in any of the regular or intermediate algebra courses. All of the courses are taught by HGP faculty.
Students are to come directly to classes, all of which are held in the Sager Conference Room in Founders Hall on the HGP Campus. All materials are supplied by the school. Students in the Reading and Study Skills and Writing Classes are also asked to bring their summer reading texts (The Alchemist and two science articles). Summer Reading texts may be found listed under QuickLinks on the HGP website.
