ScholarshipsPresidential ScholarshipsEach year, up to 15 students are given these academic scholarships in the amount of $5,000. Students who score in the 97, 98 or 99th percentile on the entrance exam are considered for these scholarships. To distinguish the winners, the admissions committee looks at the applicant’s transcript, teacher recommendations, essay, entrance exam score and interview.Libermann ScholarshipsThese $2250 scholarships are awarded by the admissions committee to students who have demonstrated exceptional potential during the admissions process. These applicants will have been involved in a variety of outside school activities including groups like athletics, academic activities and clubs, forensics, Boy Scouts, community service, drama, religious ministry, tutoring, art and music. At the same time, these students will have maintained the highest standards in academics and character.Spiritan ScholarshipsThese scholarships are available to up to two students each year that are from an under-represented social group. Candidates for these scholarships will exhibit excellence in academics, exceptional potential for growth and demonstrate a spirit of service. The amount of these scholarships will be substantial and may cover up to the full cost of Holy Ghost Prep’s tuition.Marchione Music ScholarshipOne annual scholarship in the amount of $1000 per year is given to an incoming freshman based on an audition with our Music Director and some site reading. Auditions are scheduled in March. Financial AidFinancial Aid Awards (based on financial need) can be up to $5,000 per year. All Financial Aid Applications must be completed online. Parents are also required to provide a copy of their most recent federal tax return before December 1, 2010. Financial Aid is awarded in February, only after a student has registered at HGP. A financial aid committee meets to determine award amounts.
