Holy Ghost Prep parents were asked the top reasons why they send their sons to HGP.  Here are some of their answers:

1. Each student is encouraged to excel at what he is good at whether that is academics, art, music, sports, forensics, drama etc.  Students are encouraged to try new things without being afraid of what is or is not “cool.”

2. High academic standards and preparation for college.

3. The personal interaction between students and teachers.  Value placed on trust, freedom and learning.

4. My son will be treated with respect by both the faculty and student body.

5. Everyone should know that HGP is such a rich learning environment; unparalleled anywhere in the area.

6. The dedicated faculty.

7. Great athletic programs and activities.  Opportunities for every kind of student to be a leader.

8. HGP is diverse and inclusive.

9. HGP is a safe campus with outstanding buildings and facilities.  Students are not trapped inside a building all day.

10. All of Holy Ghost's teachers are outstanding!  The instructors have superior credentials.  The teachers care about their students as if they were family.

11. Every student knows every teacher, and every teacher knows every student.

12. Catholic Identity.

13. The school allows each young man to be an individual.

14. The school brings out the best in each young man.

15. HGP builds self esteem in every student.

16. It is a great learning environment with small classes and individual attention.

17. The feeling of family and community.

18. It's not only an investment in education, but in who your son will become.

19. HGP is more than a school that you attend for four years.  It is a place where you will build lasting relationships, make lifelong friends and earn the foundation for future success.

20. HGP cultivates the total package of mind, body and spirit.

HGP's rowing program has one student-athlete rowing in college (La Salle University freshman Zach Geiser, right) and a second one, HGP senior Grayson Bautz (left, in red shirt), poised to be a collegiate coxswain at Holy Cross in 2018-19.
