2017 MOTHER-SON DANCE: SATURDAY, MARCH 4, 2017 - Register Now! - RSVP Deadline is February 22

Mark your calendars for the most anticipated event of the year! HGP's Mother-Son Dance, Saturday March 4, 2017. We invite all Moms and Guardians to join us for an evening of dinner and dancing, and some Mother-Son bonding! This year's theme is "Masquerade Ball", so feel free to add some theme elements to your attire! The festivities will begin with 6:00 Mass and Blessing of Senior Moms in the Chapel.  Click here to view the evite and pay online by 2/22/17. Senior Moms, start gathering up photos of your sons! At the Mother-Son Dance, we recognize the Seniors in a special way with a Senior Baby Photo Contest and a Senior Slide Show. We need you to submit an 8 x 10 baby photo of your son (COPIES ONLY! NO ORIGINALS!) These photos are displayed at the dance and voted upon by the students for various awards. The Senior Slide Show is a video of pictures of the Class of 2017 from Freshman through Senior year. The boys really enjoy seeing these pictures and we need you to submit your photos to be included in this slide show. Make this night memorable and fun - SEND PICTURES!!  NEXT MOTHERS' GUILD GENERAL MEETING - MARCH 6, 2017-7:00 PM

The next meeting will be Monday, March 6, 2017.  Please join us for 7:00 PM mass in the chapel, followed by fellowship, refreshments, and raffle drawings in the Dining Hall.  You will have the opportunity to purchase 'HGP Mom' aprons and Herff Jones charms. Tony McBryan of Custom Made Comfort  will be showcasing two new products: Spring Sports Blankets and a new HGP Blanket for the home. The Aramark school store will be open until the start of the meeting.

Hospitality Volunteers are needed for the March meeting. If you would like to donate a dessert/appetizer or help to set up, please click here.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations for the 2017-18 Mothers’ Guild Executive Board will be accepted at the March 6th Mothers’ Guild meeting.  If you or someone you know has been considering joining the Mothers’ Guild board, now is your opportunity!  Open positions include President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, Recording Secretary, and Alumni Secretaries (2).  Please click here for more information on this opportunity.


GIVE BACK GREETINGS FUNDRAISER UPDATE

 Thank you to the 16 families that purchased photo Christmas cards from Give Back Greetings. We recently received a check for $176.74 that represents 10% back on these purchases.

Give Back Greetings is an ongoing HGP fundraiser. Holy Ghost Prep's bowling team continued its 2016-17 dominance as John Schrenk (left) and Ryan Callahan (right) faced one another for the BAL singles title on Feb. 15.
Holy Ghost Prep sophomore Jack Pinkstone recently built a fully-functioning prosthetic hand for a child. He plans to teach other HGP students how to do it in order to assist more children in need.
