Junior Year

The college search process really ramps up during a student’s junior year at Holy Ghost. As juniors, students make a list of prospective colleges in (SCOIR), a college and career readiness portal that helps schools align students’ interests with postsecondary goals. Students self-reflect and brainstorm strong essay topics that will highlight a characteristic or quality that their application doesn’t show, write a practice essay, start to build a résumé, and list their academic achievements, including awards, community service, and participation in clubs.
