We know that in order to really understand the differences, you need to spend time on campus. Attending Holy Ghost Prep is different than going to public school. It is not better or worse, it is simply a new or unique way of attending high school. To help begin the explanation, here are two big ways that HGP is different than public school.
Student Population: Many public high schools have a total enrollment in the thousands of students. Holy Ghost Prep's student population is about 425. This results in smaller class sizes, more opportunities for individual engagement and a curriculum that focuses on the students in the classroom, not a generic curriculum meant for anyone. Several common research projects suggest that smaller schools provide greater engagement and participation for every type of learner.
Collegiate Experience: Holy Ghost Prep students have the opportunity to take advantage of our campus by spending their day in outdoor settings, navigating unstructured free time during the academic day to learn important time management skills and experiencing a class schedule that best prepares them for the demands of college.
