Applying to Holy Ghost Prep

Holy Ghost Prep uses an online application portal for all students.  

To apply to Holy Ghost Prep, you must complete the following steps:

1.  Create an online portal and Complete an Application for Admission - click here.

2. Select an Entrance Exam Date:  November 2nd, November 10th, or December 7th. 

Note: If you are unable to take the exam on a scheduled date, please contact the admissions office for additional limited options.

4. Send teacher recommendation by email

5. Download transcript release form and submit it to your principal or guidance counselor

In some schools, students must copy and send their report cards on their own.  While we prefer transcripts, this option is acceptable in some situations.

6. Write and submit essay through the application portal

7. Schedule a personal interview

All application steps must be completed prior to scheduling the personal interview.  We request all material be submitted no later than 10 days after the student has taken the entrance exam.  Families will be notified when they are able to schedule the interview.

It takes about 24 hours for your application to process.  You will be able to login in after 24 hours to complete all the application steps.

The Be First Program at Holy Ghost Prep is our early decision program for students entering eighth grade.  A small number of students were invited to Be First at Holy Ghost Prep based on their seventh grade practice test score, or because the student is a legacy applicant to HGP (or both).

Only students invited to participate in this program are able to complete the early application.

Each year, HGP invites students to join our community as transfer students.  

HGP accepts a limited number of transfer students each year - including students interested in transferring in January of the current school year.
