Learn to Row - Updated 3/25/21 - Registration Open
HGP’s Learn to Row camp will introduce campers who are rising 6th- 11th graders, boys or girls, to the basics of rowing. Rowing is HGP’s newest sport and has grown tremendously in five years, placing all athletes in the top ten in the City in their first year and sending two athletes to Division I schools with a scholarship in its second.
Campers will learn the fundamentals of boat handling, terminology, a high school training and racing season, and of course how to row! We’ll erg and row on the sheltered, calm waters of Lake Luxembourg in Core Creek Park where Holy Ghost Prep and Villa Joseph Marie HS practice during the year. Coaches include HGP’s head coach Allison Boehm, assistant coaches John and Anna, as well as current athletes and alums.
(Campers interested in Learn to Row with HGP must be able to tread water for 10minutes or swim)
