Bowling

Coach: Norm Muller

2019-20 record: 7-12 overall, 5-10 BAL (fourth place)

Key players lost to graduation: Bryce Pannone, Dylan McDonough, and Schuyler Cauley

Key returnees: Tyler Muller ’22, Chris Gasiewski ’21, and Daniel Featherstone ’21

2021 season outlook: Second-year head coach Norm Muller is excited to begin a brand-new chapter for Holy Ghost Prep bowling in 2021. After years of being a member of the Bicentennial Athletic League (BAL), the Firebirds will play an independent schedule this winter. The move gives the program the best of both worlds, allowing Holy Ghost Prep to build a more competitive schedule and still remain in the hunt for the PIAA District 1 and state playoffs. Muller will build his 2021 squad around a troika of key returnees in junior Tyler Muller and seniors Chris Gasiewski and Daniel Featherstone. Muller was one of the best bowlers in the BAL last year, finishing second at the league championships and earning first-team All-BAL honors on the process. Gasiewski was one of the BAL’s best bowlers last year too, earning 2020 honorable mention All-BAL accolades last year. Joe Connor, who rolled a personal best 200 game on Jan. 12 vs. Dock Mennonite, is another Firebird bowler to keep an eye on.
