Getting their Hall pass
Eight former Holy Ghost Prep student-athletes were inducted into HGP Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 27 at the Maltese Room in Bensalem.
Each new HGP Hall of Famer received a plaque and a Hall of Fame scarf and was presented for induction by a coach or classmate.
The eight former standouts that comprise the 2018 HGP Athletic Hall of Fame induction class are:
Sean Simon ’87, basketball
Marc Donohue ’91, soccer
Ken Lawson '91, soccer
Kevin Sharp ’97, baseball
Philip Thompson '97, swimming
Kevin Wilson '97, baseball
Patrick Corcoran '08, hockey
James Budzinski ’10, track and field
In addition, Holy Ghost Prep’s 1972 state championship basketball team that went 24-3 and beat Pittsburgh Southside Catholic by 22 points in the state title game was recognized as a “Team of Distinction” at the ceremony.
