Guest Speaker is Dan Ryan
Dan began his own higher education in earnest after completing his tour as a reporter with the Army in Vietnam in 1970. Since then he has earned a BA in Philosophy/Psychology and an MA in Theology from Duquesne University. He also holds a M.Ed. from Iowa State University in Adult Education and Human Resource Management. Dan has worked professionally for forty-five years as a teacher on the High School and University level, as well as a chaplain/counselor in a number of educational and social institutions, including eight years as the Senior Chaplain in a maximum security penitentiary in Iowa. For the past eighteen years Dan has been the Director of Campus Ministry and has taught World Religions, Spiritual Psychology and The Bible at Holy Ghost Prep. Dan is a story teller who believes that "Stories are the blood of religion and the soul of humanity"
Dan's topic for this year's Family Communion Breakfast is: Dan Ryan and the Quest for the Holy Grail - Reflecting on forty-five years of ministry.
