2018-19 Course Registration Update

The 2018-2019 Course Registration process is well underway! Holy Ghost Prep juniors met with department chairs on January 23 and January 31 to hear information regarding electives and course selection. The College Guidance Department has met individually with juniors to discuss options and to register for senior year classes.

All students have received recommendations from their teachers for placement into core courses which were taken home for parent or guardian signatures. Sophomores have begun meeting with College Guidance to select possible seventh or co-curricular courses. Freshmen and their parents or guardians have received a Google Form through email the week of February 12 to select possible seventh or co-curricular courses. That Google Form is due Friday, February 23.

As courses are entered in PowerSchool,  they can be viewed by choosing the “Class Registration” tab on the left upon login. A complete description of the course offerings for the 2018-2019 School Year can be found here: 2018-2019 Program of Study.

Father-Son Event Survey
We are planning to create a survey to help drive ideas for upcoming HGP Father-Son events.    When you receive the link, please take 5-10 minutes to complete the survey so that we can collect your thoughts and ideas. Your feedback will help identify 2-3 events for all to enjoy; and while I am not sure if there is a single event that would peak everyone’s interest, I am sure in the coming months we can plan a few events that would help in making sure each of us has at least one event we can participate with our son. To receive a copy of the survey, please forward an email to Stephen.shewbrooks@iqvia.com.
