Holy Ghost Prep lacrosse team is off to a flying start

The Holy Ghost Prep lacrosse team is off to an impressive 3-0 start this spring, including wins over Harriton and Abington. The Harriton game was a 16-5 triumph at Bryn Athyn College. Matt Rueter, a New Jersey Institute of Technology signee, has led the way, winning 85 percent of his face-offs while contributing five goals.  The attack unit of George Rusnak, Zach Nangle and Dan Kovacevich has paced an offense that has averaged 15 goals per game.  Ben Morschauser is a major points contributor from the midfield. Sam Summer, Nick Appalonia, Kaden Marrotta, Sean Booth and Jack Mahoney have been shutting down the opposing attacks so far. Zach May possesses a strong 4 goals against average per game while being an integral part of HGP's clearing game. Matt Savinon and Jack Kelly have been stout in playing the transition midfield position. Through three games, Holy Ghost Prep's average margin of victory is at 10 goals.

If that weren't enough reasons to be excited about HGP lacrosse, senior Zach Nangle was the featured player in the Bucks Courier Times lacrosse season preview. To access that preview, click here
