Dear Holy Ghost Prep families,
Our Holy Ghost Prep teachers change the lives of your sons every day—their immense work and impact moves us beyond words. Amid this COVID-19 crisis, our teachers and staff—in fact, all of our educators—have done even more to continue education with virtual classrooms, creative at-home lessons, and online counsel and advice. All to ensure every student has the tools they need to continue to grow and develop.
It's during this current "Teacher Appreciation Week" and in these challenging times that we truly recognize and appreciate how our Holy Ghost Prep educators play such a pivotal role in your sons' lives—inspiring a lifelong love of learning and discovery and making a difference in their well-being and long-term success. Please join us in saying thank you to all of our teachers.
We would also like to share a few general announcements:
- We will hold our second virtual Town Hall meeting on Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. Please save the date and more details will be shared on Friday, May 8.
- Plans for the Class of 2020 Graduation Parade are coming soon!
- We are holding the annual "Mr. Firebird" contest virtually this year—with a twist. For more information on "Mr. Firebird" and the two worthy causes the contest can benefit, click here.
- Each May, the junior class moms hosts a Mothers' Guild Recognition Night to celebrate the mothers/guardians of the senior graduating class. Please click here by May 11 to RSVP!
- Have your sons join us for a "Breakthrough" Zoom session with Holy Ghost Prep alum Anthony Geonnotti III '99, a virology and infectious disease expert at Johnson & Johnson, this Friday, May 8 at 1 p.m. Sign-up information will be shared with all students via Schoology.
- The 2020 Holy Ghost Prep sports banquet, originally scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, has been cancelled. Athletic director Craig Conlin is working with the HGP coaches to formulate a plan to get varsity and JV letters mailed to all of our student-athletes over the summer.
