Dear Holy Ghost Prep families,
Thank you to everyone who participated in last night's Town Hall meeting. As we said last night, we plan to incorporate more Town Halls as part of our continuing efforts to be open and transparent with you.
If you were unable to join us last night, we encourage you to watch last night's Town Hall by clicking here.
Last night, we were flooded with so much support and commitment. Thank you! We are blessed to have a strong leadership team, faculty and staff to work on behalf of such an engaged and loving Holy Ghost Prep school community. We are more determined than ever to deliver the finest summer programming and fall educational experience we can, and we are committed to helping every family we can who has been financially impacted by this COVID-19 crisis.
As we near the end of an academic semester unlike any in Holy Ghost Prep history, we are sure that your sons are experiencing an array of emotions too. But the resilience that our students have displayed over the past couple months has inspired us all.
We're all in this together, and together we can accomplish anything.
As always, we have a few announcements:
- COVID-19 Relief Grants: Holy Ghost Prep has launched its COVID-19 Relief Grant program to help current and incoming families financially affected by the coronavirus crisis. To learn more about the program or to apply for a grant, click here.
- Summer program survey: Our education planning team is finalizing our summer programming, and we need your input. So we will send you a quick survey in Sunday's "Happenings at HGP" to gauge which summer offerings interest you most. Your feedback will be invaluable in shaping what we offer. Classes will begin the week of June 22.
- Alternate Assessment Week: For a detailed end-of-year timeline and information, click here.
- Admissions Office Virtual Tour and Spring Preview Event: Encourage friends and neighbors to learn about Holy Ghost Prep on Tuesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. The event will be presented as a live stream and will be available on-demand. Interested families can sign up for the event by clicking here.
- Sunday Mass: Father Dan Sormani will be celebrating the Sixth Sunday of Easter Mass on May 16-17, 2020, beginning Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on our YouTube Channel, which can be accessed by clicking here.
- Class of 2020 Locker Clean-out: We will hold our Senior Locker Clean-out Day on Tuesday, May 19 in accordance with all social distancing procedures and township and state-approved safety protocols (e.g. masks required). Assigned time slots and all info can be found on the Class of 2020 Schoology page.
- Senior Class Food Drive: As part of the Locker Clean-out Day, we encourage our seniors to bring non-perishable food items and paper products to donate to our neighbors at the Harvest Ministries Food Bank at Cornwells Methodist Church. Harvest Ministries is a non-profit, charitable organization that distributes food to Bensalem residents in need. Mr. Whartenby has shared additional details on the Class of 2020 Schoology page.
Please enjoy your weekend, and we will be in touch again this Sunday with "Happenings at HGP" and then again next Wednesday.
