HGP Learn to Row 2018 June 18-22, 2018

Camp Director: JD Bridges - jbridges@holyghostprep.org
Camp Dates: June 18-22, 8am-12pm
Camp Location: Core Creek Park, Langhorne, PA (boat ramp)
Camp Director: J. D. Bridges
Camp Cost: $325
HGP's Learn to Row camp will introduce campers who are rising 7th-10th graders, boys or girls, to the basics of rowing. Rowing is HGP's newest sport and has grown tremendously in three years, placing all athletes in the top ten in the City in their first year and sending an athlete to a Division I school with a scholarship in its second.
Campers will learn the fundamentals of boat handling, terminology, a high school season, and of course how to row! We'll do both sweep (one oar per person) and sculling (two oars per person) on the sheltered, calm waters of Lake Luxembourg in Core Creek Park where Holy Ghost Prep and Villa Joseph Marie HS practice during the year. Coaches include HGP's Head Coach and VJM Director of Rowing J. D. Bridges and other coaches from both schools, as well as current athletes and alums from both programs.
(Campers interested in Learn to Row with HGP must be at least 5 feet tall and be able to swim)
