What is the purpose of the Auction & where do the funds go?

The HGP Spring Auction is one of two major fundraising events sponsored by our school. Our purpose is to gather in fellowship with our HGP family to support scholarships, technology, and the arts.   

When and where is the Auction?

The Auction will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in the Firebird Fieldhouse. The event begins at 6:00 pm with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and silent auction bidding. At 7:30, buffet dinner is provided by Carlucci's. The live auction begins at 8:30. 

What is the ticket price?

Tickets to the event are $150/couple or $75/person. Tickets include open bar, buffet dinner, and dessert.

Can I afford this event?

Yes! Auction items cover a wide range of prices ($30+). Consider going in on larger items with a group of friends.   

How do I bid?

We use BidPal. Register when you purchase your tickets, and use your smartphone or tablet. You can browse auction items and bid anywhere at any time during the event. BidPal notifies you when you have been outbid, eliminating the need to constantly return to the silent auction area. Watch the bidding LIVE on the screens in the gym for a fun look at the most popular items and the bids! BidPal allows you to:

  • Bid anytime and from anywhere
  • See all item information and current bid status
  • Receive outbid alerts and re-bid
  • Personalize your “watch” items
  • View items won

You do not need to be present to participate in the silent auction – you can bid from anywhere!

How can I become a Sponsor?  

As a donor your name/business name will be seen by hundreds of HGP, alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. Sponsorships range from $200 to $7,500. For details and benefits click here.

How does the Tuition Raffle work and do I need to be present to win?

A minimum of 250 tickets must be sold for the raffle to be held. A maximum of 750 tickets will be sold. Drawing will be held at the end of the evening. Winner need not be present.

Where do the live or silent auction items come from?  

Many businesses have been loyal supporters of our auction and continue to donate each year. However, with so many schools and organizations requesting donations each year they are inundated with requests. We need the support of our HGP families to make a personal donation to either the silent or live auction using our “wish list” as a guide.

What is a “Wish List?”
