Consider a Gift by June 30th That Will Impact HGP Students in 2014-2015
Posted 06/24/2014 03:30PM

As June 30 looms and with it, the end of the current Holy Ghost Fund Campaign, HGP alumni and friends can still make new or additional gifts that will benefit students in the year ahead.

While gifts of all sizes and from all members of the Holy Ghost Prep make a difference, many alumni contributions may still draw significant matching gifts that can double the impact.

For the second consecutive year, three Holy Ghost Prep alumni have joined together to encourage fellow alumni to provide increased philanthropic support for current and future students at their alma mater.

Together, they have pledged to contribute up to $75,000 ($25,000 each) in matching gifts as part of this year’s Alumni Challenge in support of the Holy Ghost Fund, and at the same time, to inspire increased participation among HGP graduates.  All such matching gifts will be awarded for financial gifts from first-time or lapsed donors, or increased gifts from alumni who also gave last year.

The Holy Ghost Fund also supports current needs of the School and includes both restricted and unrestricted gifts.  Among the School’s top priorities is its commitment to scholarship support.  This year alone, more than one-half of HGP students received some form of financial support.

Specifically, the Alumni Challenge Campaign will provide matching philanthropic gifts for contributions to the Holy Ghost Fund from:

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Alumni who have not made a gift for at least the past two years

<!--[if !supportLists]-->·         <!--[endif]-->Alumni who make increased gifts (The Alumni Challenge will match the amount of the increased gift of a year ago)

“Holy Ghost needs alumni support to keep the School accessible for students from divergent backgrounds,” offered one of the three Alumni Challenge donors.  “I firmly believe Holy Ghost Prep deserves that support.  In retrospect, I was very lucky to share in the HGP brotherhood and I want that legacy to continue.”
