If you or someone you know has been considering joining the Mothers’ Guild Board, now is your opportunity!  Volunteering for the Mothers' Guild Board is a great way to get involved and meet people in our HGP community.

To nominate yourself or another candidate for one of these positions, please click here for the nomination form which will be accepted at the March 4th meeting or can be emailed to julieoconnell@comcast.net.

NON BOARD POSITIONS OPEN

Not ready to take on a position with the Board but want to co-chair/chair your own committee? We also have non-board positions to fill. Currently, we are in need of the following:

Liturgy Coordinators – 2 shadows needed: Learn for a year, co-chair it the next. The liturgy coordinators arrange volunteers, select music, prepare the petitions and programs, and coordinate with Mr. Whartenby for the Mothers' Guild masses. You can learn it all from current liturgy coordinators next year, so please consider signing up or talking to one of the current coordinators.

Additional roles will be listed as they become available. For more information or to express interest in volunteering with the Mothers’ Guild, please contact mothersguild@holyghostprep.org.

Save the Date - Senior Mom Celebration

HGP Suit Swap is in Full Swing

Donate your sons' gently used, no-longer-fitting items at the next Mothers' Guild meeting.

The Mother Son Dance is approaching. Now is the time to see what suits in your son's closet no longer fit. Drop off anything that doesn't. Donating now can help someone looking for a new suit this spring. We are collecting blazers, suits and ties on an on-going basis. We accept donations at our Mothers' Guild meetings. Just bring in your donations to the next meeting - clean and on hangers.

If you cannot bring them to the meeting, contact Judy Krohn to arrange a pickup or school drop-off.

Swap events are open to ALL parents and students. You donate what doesn't fit and take what does. Most importantly, you don't need to make a donation to participate in the event. This is completely FREE.

Questions? Contact Judy Krohn at judithkrohn@me.com

Mothers' Guild Ambassador Program is Back

Last year, the Mothers’ Guild introduced its’ new ambassador program. We are pleased to once again offer this new and important program to the HGP community.

Ambassadors will be to mentor new mothers through their first year at HGP by answering questions, no matter how specific or general, regarding Mothers’ Guild events, functions, and volunteer opportunities. Throughout the year they will also share news of important events and/or simply check in with their families to be sure they are acclimating well.

If you wish to volunteer to be an ambassador, or would like to have an ambassador mentor you in your first year, please fill in the attached form.

For more information about the program, please contact your sophomore reps.

Mothers' Guild Dues Donation

The Mothers' Guild would appreciate a suggested donation of $15 per son/class to assist with offsetting the costs of the various community-building events we host each year, such as the graduation reception, ring mass reception, alumni mom and senior mom celebrations, and Christmas dinner.
