On behalf of the Holy Ghost Prep Mothers’ Guild, I would like to welcome everyone to the start of the 2023/2024 school year. Please note that all moms and guardians of HGP students are automatically members of the Mothers' Guild! We have many exciting events happening this year, beginning with the Mothers’ Guild Welcome Tea on Sunday, September, 17th at 11:00am. This is a celebration honoring current and new Guild members, with a special welcome to our incoming transfer and Freshman Moms and Guardians. This is a wonderful opportunity to get to know other HGP women, get reacquainted with familiar faces, and see what the Mothers’ Guild is all about. There’s no better way to begin the year than together! Please save the date and be on the lookout for an email invitation and RSVP link in the coming weeks!
The Mothers’ Guild meets once a month (typically the first Monday) during the school year. Our meetings are full of fun and fellowship, and are a chance to keep current on school happenings via featured guests from the HGP administration and staff. The evening begins with Mass at 7:00pm in the Chapel, followed by a gathering about a half hour later in the Dining Hall. Some meetings include dinner, honoring special people and moments throughout the school year. While membership is automatic, we do accept and encourage a small donation per family to help offset the costs of our dinner meetings and events sponsored for our sons, like the Ring Mass and Graduation reception. The Holiday Craft Show will take place on November 11th and 12th this year. It is truly the most premier event of its kind in the area! Amazing crafters and parents pool their talents to raise money that directly benefits our boys. In recent years, we have donated up to $50,000 back to the school per year! The success of our show depends on us, and we invite you to share your time and gifts! More information about our Craft Show, including areas in need of parent power can be found by clicking here. Welcome to a new year at Holy Ghost and with the Mothers’ Guild. This is a time for you, as well as your son! We have many memories yet to make as a community, and I look forward to seeing you in September, not only at our Tea but at the Mass of The Holy Spirit and Family Picnic, taking place outdoors on Sunday, September 10th at 10am. It is a time honored tradition and a beautiful way to bless the school year ahead with your loved ones and friends, both old and new.
