Holy Ghost Prep recently placed teams first, third, and fourth in the state of Pennsylvania in the CyberPatriot’s National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. The competition challenges teams from all over the globe to find and resolve cyber security vulnerabilities in simulated environments.
Thanks to the collective generosity of the Holy Ghost Prep community, the Holy Ghost Prep Fathers Association’s annual Christmas Blessings initiative was able to collect nearly $30,000 in gift cards—providing the gift of Christmas to 70 area families in need.
On Dec. 9, the Mothers’ Guild presented Holy Ghost president Gregory J. Geruson ’79 with a check that represented the funds raised at the Mothers’ Guild’s Annual Craft Show. The Craft Show raised a record-setting $51,000 for Holy Ghost Prep, and that money will be used to buy a new 9-passenger van for the school.
Holy Ghost Prep enjoyed a record-setting Giving Tuesday, raising $39,115.10 from 136 donors on Nov. 3. This year’s Giving Tuesday campaign surpassed last year’s amount by almost $20,000. The total number of donors (136) was also an all-time Giving Tuesday high.
The Holy Ghost Prep hockey team headed north to Jamestown, New York on Dec. 5 where it will compete in the National Scholastic Invitational Scholastic Showcase this weekend.
